CALM is

The CALM is a small night light that offers you a quiet and calm atmosphere to corridors or stairs, or other places in your house during the night.
This product automatically turns on when it is dark, and turns off when it is bright.

When a blackout happens, you can remove the product from the wall and use it instead of emergency lights.
The product has built-in rechargeable batteries and you can always charge it with USB cables. Batteries run for more than a month with only one charging.

Recommended Setting

The most suitable place to use this product is on the wall.
This product automatically turns on when it is dark, and turns off when it is bright.
It is recommended to put it on the wall with the height slightly lower than your eyes, as the light spreads very well without being too bright for your eyes.

Caution

Install the product away from high temperature and humidity.
If there is a light-reflecting surface such as a mirror near close to the product, it may not function well.

Remove the transparent sheet and the hook on the back side of the product.

The product starts operating as soon as you remove the transparent sheet.
The batteries are fully charged when purchased, so please start using it without charging.

Install the hook on the wall following the instructions below,

NOTE

The double-sided tape is Command™ Poster Strips(S)"

When it gets dark enough, the light sensor recognizes it and the light automatically switches on.
It works the other way around as well, it switches off when it gets bright.

※This automatic reaction works only in the lighting mode [AUTO].

As the LED light starts flashing unstably when the batteries run out, charge the batteries.

NOTE

It takes up to 5 seconds for the lights to automatically switch on after it gets dark enough.

“CALM” Lighting Modes & Switching Tips

The lighting mode changes every time you touch the sensor.

When touching for more than 3 seconds, the [Torch] mode is activated and gives brighter light, which you can also use as a simple flashlight.
(Touch again to reset to the mode [OFF].)

How to Set the Sensitivity Level

The light sensor has 3 different sensitivity.
These 3 levels can be changed by pressing a button inside of CALM.
You can choose the best mode for the environment of use.
The sensitivity you set will be stored even after the power is turned off.

Every time you press the switch, the LED flashes to change the sensitivity level.

How to charge

If the LED flashes irregularly or turns off quickly, please charge the battery.
Please charge CALM by connecting to the power with USB cable (Type C: cable sold separately).

Cautions

If the battery level is sufficient, charging will not occur.
(In this case the LED will flash twice.）
The USB connector may be damaged if pushed in too hard.

While charging, the LED slowly flickers every 1 seconds, and turns off when the charging is over.
If you start charging from the empty battery, it takes you 4-6 hours to get it fully charged.

Once you remove the USB cable, the product again becomes available.

NOTE

It cannot be operated while powered by a USB cable.

About Batteries

CALM contains two AA-sized rechargeable batteries, which can be charged via USB.
When the batteries start to degrade, you can replace them yourself with commercially available "Nickel-Metal hydride (NiMH)" rechargeable batteries.

You can also use commercially available AA alkaline batteries.
When doing so, please make sure to read and understand the following precautions before replacing the batteries.

Precautions When Using Alkaline Batteries

Do not attempt to recharge the batteries.
The usage time until the batteries are depleted is not guaranteed.
Always remove used alkaline batteries. Leaving them inside the device may cause leakage or damage.

Cautions

Do not install the hooks where the sticker surface is exposed to ultraviolet rays or high temperature, or on unstable walls.
Do not use or store CALM in a wet or humid place such as bathroom, kitchen, or outdoor.
When connecting the USB cable, be careful not to press it too hard as this may damage the USB connector.
Do not modify or disassemble.
If you do not use the product for a long time, remove the batteries and store it.
When hanging on the hook, hang it firmly on the hook hole so that it will not fall down.
Do not stare at the LEDs for a long time as it may damage your eyes.
Do not hang anything other than CALM on the dedicated hooks.
